Lakxota Kxoyag Holiday Internet Angel Tree

The Lakxota Kxoyag Internet Tree was established to help the children, elders and handicapped in small communities located on the Cheyenne River Lakxota (Sioux) Reservation in South Dakota. The residents of these communities are the "Txakini" which means survivors of the Wounded Knee Massacre of 1890. These are poor communities and many parents can not afford gifts for their children.
Please click on the Internet Tree to see the list of names on this year's tree. If you chose to sponsor someone, we will send you the information they submitted on their application for you to chose items for gifts. Gifts are wrapped and sent directly to the individual you are sponsoring before the holidays. We have found that this form of direct sponsorship works best for the sponsors and sponsorees.
We are hoping that some of you can find room in your hearts to sponsor a child, elder and/or person with special needs this holiday season.
Thanks and Happy Holidays to you!
